JHL Civil will construct the 3.7 kilometre, 400 mm diameter HDPE pipeline, which will run through coastal saltmarsh, plans grassland and spiny rice flower. Construction of the pipeline will include boring under a number of road, railway and existing pipeline crossings, as well as under Laverton Creek. All works, including pipe laying and excavation, will take place in a maximum corridor of 15 metres.
The contract includes a compulsory environmental induction with City West Water, GHD and Ecology Partners, and regular environmental audits from GHD.
Construction will commence in February 2010.
