The Ditch Witch® JT1220 Mach 1 compact directional drilling system is one of the industry’s most productive 12,000-pound (53 kN) HDD machines.
Even with the highest horsepower in its class, it produces the least amount of
noise - less than 100 dBA. Minimal noise allows contractors to work longer hours in commercial and residential areas.
The JT1220 Mach 1 also features an innovative pipeloader design and strong, manoeuvrable undercarriage system. The entire package comes complete with drill unit, drill pipe, downhole tools, tracker, fluid system and trailer.
Fast mixing, high flow drilling fluids
The Ditch Witch FM13 Drilling Fluid System has been added to the line of Ditch Witch drilling fluid management products.
The FM13 is the largest of three stand-alone, modular fluid systems for efficiently mixing drilling fluid additives with water and delivering the slurry to directional drilling units for drilling, backreaming, and product pullback.
Powered by a 13-horsepower (9.7 kW) gas engine, the efficient constant grease seal pump delivers 20 per cent more fluid capacity than the MM9 fluid system, moving 42 viscosity slurry at the rate of
200 gpm (757 L/min). The maximum flow rate is 300 gpm (1135.6 L/min) of 26 viscosity fluid.
Vacuum excavator more versatile than ever
Ditch Witch offers the quietest, most productive and versatile family of vacuum systems on the market. The Ditch Witch FX60 vacuum excavator, a higher-horsepower version of the popular FX30, is designed for an extensive range of cleanup and excavation applications for many different industries.
Drilling, utility, landscaping, construction, water and sewer, railroad, telecommunications, and plumbing are some of the potential markets for the FX60. The 60 horsepower FX60 exemplifies the new breed of vacuum excavators with larger, more powerful diesel engines that increase the capabilities of the unit well beyond ordinary cleanup and soft excavation.
New bursting system
Charles Machine Works, manufacturer of Ditch Witch underground construction equipment, has added three new systems for the pipe replacement market to its family of trenchless equipment.
The new Ditch Witch PR50, PR75, and PR95 pipe bursting systems are designed to fracture or cut most types of existing pipe - water, sewer, or utility - and pull in new pipe with 50, 75, or 95 tonnes of pullback force respectively.
Advantages of these new pipe bursting systems include outstanding durability, simplicity of operation, productivity and the ability to easily and efficiently cut or fracture most types of pipe such as clay, PVC, steel, ductile iron, and cast-iron pipe, while also being able to pull in new pipe even larger than the original - with minimal disturbance to the surroundings.
Other standard features include quiet, fully enclosed power packs and load-sensing hydraulics that automatically shift the unit to high speed when there is no load, and downshift the unit when a load is introduced to increase productivity.
